YIMI HOOKAH is an emerging brand providing high-quality hookah accessories and supplies. I was asked to design new packages for their products. My goal was to create a unified design that could be used for any product as a brand identity.
DESIGN
The brand name comes from "米" in Chinese. I started to make a decorative pattern based on the character. Hookahs are thought to have originated in Islamic world where mosaics were used as decoration for floors and walls. I came up with an idea to create a pattern using mosaic styles. The final pattern was colored in two green colors resembling fresh tobacco leaves.
