I produced the promotional video for the Attack on Titan “TRICK OF FATE” merchandise released by Anique Inc. Inspired by the tarot-themed product line, I designed the visuals to evoke the atmosphere of a fortune-telling session lit by candlelight.

APPROACH

The scene and 3D models were created in Cinema 4D and rendered with Octane Render. To evoke an atmosphere lit primarily by candlelight, the lighting setup was kept minimal while carefully positioned to emphasize the transparency and edges of the acrylic pieces. As many of the products are designed to look especially striking when illuminated like stained glass, soft backlighting was used to bring out their translucent qualities. The product lineup also includes matches, which inspired a match-striking scene used as the transition from the introduction into the main product sequence. The flame animation combines simulation with hand-keyed animation.
